Northeast Region Trail Life Campout

Henry Hudson Base Camp '24

Location:  Kirbytown Farms, 769 Pocatello Rd, Middletown, NY 10940

Cost: $40 per person

Who can go: Hawks through Adventurers can attend with Troop leaders. Foxes must be with a male parent or male adult guardian. The camp is not logistically set up to accommodate women, males only.

Activities:

• Dutch oven cook-off - must be a meals from the time period; please provide history. The troops will need to supply their Dutch ovens and food.
• Pugil Stick battle- Battle of Lake George
• Troops are encouraged to build a Trebuchet; this will be a distance competition. (build with your Troop before the event, one Trebuchet per Troop, and the weight limit is 75 lbs of tension. Google trebuchet, and look up easy DIY videos on YouTube.)
• BB Guns
• Archery
• Hatchets
• Slingshots
• Bonfire/devotions
• Music
• Fire building
• Long-range radios
• Fishing
• Tanning Pelts (tentatively)
• Henry Hudson Base Bamp is a trading post, so bring items to trade/ barter with other Troops. Transactions will be finalized with a Trailman handshake. No take-backs!
• Each Troop is encouraged to bring a Challenge, for example, first aid and rope work.
• Sunday service in camp.
